Conference venue

Warnemünde is a part of the Hanseatic City of Rostock, located at the Baltic Sea at the northeastern shore of Germany. Founded in the 12th century Rostock has a long tradition in maritime trade, but also in ship-building and aircraft industry. The University of Rostock was founded in 1419 and thus is the oldest university in northern Europe. Currently, Rostock provides a home to 200.000 inhabitants (including 14.000 students), and established as the urban centre of the country Mecklenburg and Western Pomerania.

Our conference venue is the Yachting and Spa Resort „Yachthafen Residenz Hohe Düne“ – a first class hotel, marina, and conference center in mediterranean style directly at the sandy beaches of Rostock-Warnemünde. Hotel rooms are equipped with all amenities, and there are several restaurants and bars that whisk you away to a varied culinary world. The convention center is built on a peninsula and beautifully overlooks the sea, white beaches, the marina, the historic light house, old fishermen's houses, the cruise-ship terminal, ... let it be a surprise!

Then take either the free shuttle boat to the Yachthafenresidenz Hohe Düne (leaves from the “Bahnhofsbrücke/Alter Strom” landing stage in front of the train station, only limited service during winter season) or the public ferry to Hohe Düne (leaves from ferry terminal "Passagierkai" behind the train station). The hotel is a 2 minute walk away from the ferry landing.

By car: Take the motorway A 20 to the "Rostock-West" exit, then follow the B 103 ("Stadtautobahn") northwards heading to Warnemünde. At the end of the motorway follow the ferry signs and take the public ferry to Hohe Düne. After ferry landing, road signs show you the way to the nearby hotel and parking lots. For your navigation system enter city: Rostock, street: Hohe Düne.

By plane: At the Rostock-Laage airport take a taxi or rental car to the hotel.
